A Quick History of Galician Wine, by Luis Paadín

A Quick History of Galician Wine, by Luis Paadín

Luis Paadín gives us the five minute version of the history of wine in Galicia.

Luis Paadín is a tireless promoter of the wines of Galicia. From 1995 to 2007, he owned and managed the Taberna O Carro in A Coruña, before going to get his masters in viticulture and oenology from the University of Vigo and then becoming a professor in that same program. He is now, among other things, the President of the Galician Association of Wine Tasters and Vice President of the Galician Sommelier Association. As a taster, he has participated in numerous wine competitions regionally, nationally, and internationally. He is the technical director and editor of the recently published guide to the wines and liquors of Galicia, the "Guía de Vinos, Destilado, y Bodegas de Galicia", and he works as a wine consultant to restaurants, wineries, and distributors. Luis is also a teacher at hotel schools around Galicia and Spain. He lives in A Coruña.
